Academic Experience

Dr. Asmaa Ahmed worked as demonstrator, assistant lecturer, lecturer, Fields of Social Work in the Assuit University of Egypt between 2004 and present. She joined in the Ajman University in the United Arab Emirates and worked as a visiting professor during the academic year 2017-2018. Then, She moved to Ajman University's Fujairah Campus and worked as an assistant professor during the academic year 2018-2019, Since 2019 until now, she has been working as an Assistant Professor at Sociology & Social Work Department, Humanities & Science College, University of Science & Technology of Fujairah, United Arab Emirates.

Dr. Asmaa Ahmed is an Assistant Professor in Social work at the Sociology & Social work department. She holds PhD in Social Work with First class honor. Her PhD topic was titled "The effectiveness of the professional intervention using preventive social work approach from the perspective of general practice in social work and prevent adolescents from the internet risks", and She Having a Diploma in Self-Management from Sharjah Media Training Center & LEVENBERT Company.

Dr. Asmaa teaches various number of special courses in Social Work Purview, she has also published several repetitive research in many specialized scientific journals, along with her participation in many conferences, seminars and workshops related to her field of expertise.

Dr. Asma has an extensive experience in the higher education field since 2004 in both UAE & Egypt, She is also in charge of the training and supervision of many of the graduation projects of senior studies at the sociology and social work department. Dr. Asmaa is well known for her encouragement to her students in participation in many non-class activities and participation in internal and external events and competitions. Furthermore, she actively contributes to her university's community service committee and serves as the supervisor of the university's volunteer club.

Research Areas and Interests

Her research interests include many social areas like: Family and childhood issues, adolescent problems, youth care, and social problems.
