Dr. El-Messiry was appointed program coordinator of Information Technology program in the College of Engineering and Technology in September 2019. He joined USTF in 2018 and since then has served the University in various academic and administrative roles and responsibilities. He served as Chair of E-learning Development Committee from 2018 to 2021. One of his earliest initiatives in the IT department was to propose a new undergraduate program leading to a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology with two concentrations Cyber Security and Data Analytics. Dr. El-Messiry served for five years as focal point to develop student’s professional skills through joint program between Ministry of Telecommunication and Faculty of computer science and Information system.
Dr. El-Messiry is also an active teacher and researcher. His teaching portfolio includes graduate and undergraduate courses in his areas of expertise. Over the past years, he has maintained an active research profile with numerous publications in reputable international journals and conference proceedings. His principals in research and teaching involve artificial intelligence, machine learning, and computer vision, with respect to different application domains such as government, medical section, and transportation. Moreover, his supervision to several industry projects with respect to intelligent system solutions.
