Summary |
Prof. Platon, in the professional field as a freelance designer and senior interior architect/manager has been designing/constructing: a) Building renovation/reconstruction and refurbishment b) interiors : offices, homes, kitchens, bars, cafes for the Village cinemas, hospitality, restaurants, etc & fine art and graphic applications for interiors, stage and costume designs etc, c) furniture: chairs, sofas, stools, cabinets, tables etc for production lines (make prototypes in the factory and organize the production and special fit out design/constructions etc.). Also designed and made unique sculpture tables in his studio, d) industrial products including jewellery and silver products, dental equipment, car alarms, toys, motorbike exhaust, table ware & lighting systems, e) graphic designs for packaging, commercial leaflets, book covers, illustrating books, publishing –advertising director for IVOS publishers- Athens, photography (first solo exhibition was in Photography-Leeds-England), proficiency in Photoshop Software, good knowledge on printing techniques etc, f)Works for theater (stage and costumes designs). Throughout his teaching life his philosophy is to produce progressive, colourful, artistic, fresh, postmodern, utopic and conceptual designs with my students, in order to be competitive in the design market. Research activities include Space art, Applications of the 4rth dimension in art & design, Future art & design, Postmodern design, and History of Mediterranean and Eastern art & design. Published numerus articles. |
