Job Responsibilities :
|
- Interpret and enforce academic policies and procedures as they pertain to the branch or division; monitors and administers processes associated with individual student academic standing, as appropriate, to include probations, suspensions.
- Direct and oversee academic advisement, career counseling, and student discipline programs; provides guidance and support as appropriate for various student life activities.
- Establish and implement short- and long-range organizational goals, objectives, strategic plans, policies, and operating procedures; monitor and evaluate programmatic and operational effectiveness, and effects changes required for improvement.
- Oversee all facets of the daily operations of the organizational unit, ensuring compliance with the University policies and regulations.
- Oversees the supervision of personnel, which includes work allocation, training, and problem resolution; evaluates performance and makes recommendations for personnel actions; motivates employees to achieve peak productivity and performance.
- Develop and manage annual budgets.
- Oversee and direct the planning and development of student information documents and promotional materials, to include catalogs and student handbooks.
- Represent the organization at various community and/or business meetings; promotes existing and new programs and/or policies.
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

Ph.D degree with at least 3 years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. |

- Skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications.
- Knowledge and understanding of a range of student life issues and concerns.
- Ability to supervise and train employees, to include organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments.
- Ability to develop and maintain recordkeeping systems and procedures.
- Employee development and performance management skills.
- Knowledge of the procedures and processes associated with the development and dissemination of curriculum catalogs and student handbooks.
