Prof. Khalaf has a research interest in the field of the origins of Islamic legislation, the purposes of Islamic legislation, contemporary financial transactions, Islamic economics, contemporary jurisprudential issues in family, money and economic issues and contemporary developments, and legislative comparisons between jurisprudence and law

He has been teaching several courses in the law college including the following: Fundamentals of Jurisprudence, Personal Status, The jurisprudence of inheritance, wills and endowment, Introduction to the study of Sharia and law. The Islamic penal system, Jurisprudence rules, Purposes of the law, Financial transactions in Islamic law, Contemporary legal issues, and Human rights in Sharia and law

  • Master's degree in comparative jurisprudence and its origins.
  • PhD in Comparative Jurisprudence and its Principles, Umm Al-Qura University, Makkah Al-Mukarramah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
