University of Science and Technology in Fujairah's Psychology Department Initiates

Fujairah, February 28, 2024 – In line with the University of Science and Technology in Fujairah's commitment to community engagement and environmental awareness, the Psychology Department, under the supervision of Dr. Shaimaa Basha, launched a tree planting initiative on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at the university's gardens and fields.
This initiative aligns with the university's vision of fostering environmental consciousness among its students and enriching voluntary efforts within the university community. Collaborating with the Fujairah Environmental Authority and the Department of Works and Agriculture in Fujairah as part of the annual tree planting week, this year's theme being "Together We Plant the Emirates," the Psychology Department spearheaded the effort.
Students from the Psychology Department proposed a unique initiative to plant agricultural seedlings that they will nurture throughout their university studies, eventually passing them on to incoming students. Several local seedlings and fruit-bearing trees, including lemon, pomegranate, and fig, were planted during the activity. Dr. Sameh Khamis, Dr. Ahmed Al-Redaida, and a large group of students actively participated in the initiative. Marjan, the environmental advocate, also joined hands to support the cause.
This collaborative effort reflects the university's dedication to instilling a sense of environmental responsibility and sustainability among its students, fostering a greener and more conscious community.
